Wow!

Mon Dec 25, 2006, 1:41 PM
  • Mood: Jolly
  • Reading: Halo: Ghosts of Onyx
  • Eating: Various stocking chocolates
So apparently my parents get me nearly perfect christmas gifts every once in a while...

I got a wacom tablet! (not the big, expensive Intuos series, but a graphire 4x5... which is probably gonna be just fine once I get the hang of it) And on top of that I got some new studio monitor style headphones (carvin's 50 dollar godlike headphones) and I get to pick out a new guitar for me to have!... man and on top of that my birthday comes 15 days after christmas... owned! Methinks life is about to become a lot more interesting :D

I'd like to give you the whole list of stuff I've gotten for christmas this year, but I'll just list the art-themed stuff:

1) WACOM brand Graphire4 4x5 tablet
2) "Sketching Pod" (9 sketching pencils, ruler, pencil sharpener, eraser)
3) Flexible stainless steel erasing shield with 27 different apertures (holes, different shapes and sizes)
4) Speedball Pen & Ink set (#102 Hunt Crow Quill Pen [plastic handle, don't worry... no crows were harmed in the making of this quill] with a flexible steel nib, and a small thing of pigmented acrylic ink)
5) Pencil drawing techniques book
6) Hardback Sketchbook with 176 pages of archival-quality, acid free drawing paper
7) Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar book (full of various sketches and such from the creative minds behind the half-life series of games)

Oh, and for those geeks out there, I also got (from thinkgeek.com) the ninja remote, the staple-less stapler, and the original ring-thing! So, huge haul this year, and I can't wait to see what I get for my birthday!
